Because of airport!

I know the title may be a bit confusing, non-sense for you, but it represents what may be called ‘phrase of the night’ at last night’s party we threw at Lavi’s. Darius was teasing Ana (really badly! 0.o) and asked her ‘Why…*something I do not remember*?’ and then Ana’s reply stormed like out of nowhere, completely lacking any trace of sense: ‘Because of airport!’ It hit us unaware, and it got us rolling on the floor laughing :nerd: We continued on repeating the now already famous phrase ‘Because of airport!’ for the rest of the night, between choked laughter. Everything that was happening was because of airport, or at the airport. I’m still stunned of how dramatically it lacks sense, but it was funny anyway. Now it doesn’t seem as funny as at that moment, and I’m wondering how someone could say something like this :| Overall, the party was great, there were a lot of persons, unexpected ones, we terrorized the rest of the apartments with the audio system, we played guitar and I finally got Billie Joe tuned, thanks to Oana’s lovely guitar tuner :) I showed off my guitar skills, ha! b-) I made Ana enviously leave the room when I played Good Riddance plucked (with picking). I’m not boasting, don’t get me wrong :D We also ordered pizza, and played the party common game ‘Truth or Dare’, but happily enough the challenges weren’t so harsh as always :D I mean skandenberg and acting like a cluster (I don’t know how someone is supposed to act like a cluster, so yeah, it’s 2-0 for non-sense!) is not that bad ;)

Other important facts: I’m taking part in an experience exchange that my high school and a French private school are involved in. The French students are coming to Romania this February, and we’ll have to take a French student home, and by the end of May we are going to France (I’ll see Paris! b-) ). Hopefully, the French students are supposed to know English, so communication will be much easier than if I had to struggle to speak French. However, I have proposed myself to try and speak French as much as I can, until I will involuntary burst into English. But I’m sure we’ll have a great time, either here and in France. I’m still pondering on whether I should host a girl or a boy. What do you say? Also, the trip to France occurs to be in the same period as the IDF Dance Championship in Hungary, so no dance champ this year, unfortunately :( I chose going to France because our dance team is highly affected by lack of interest from boys’ side, so there was small chance of having a great performance there, so it wouldn’t be worth going. Nevertheless, I’m still going to training :)

That being said, I’m kinda done. I wanna learn a new guitar song, either ‘Don’t Cry’ by Guns N’ Roses or ‘The Man who sold the World’ by Nirvana. I found some interesting tutorials here. Bye! ^^

Summing up

I’m ashamed of my self, really! This site is going down the drain :| Well, maybe I’m saying it a bit metaphorically, but since I had to switch from summerhugs.com to summerhugs.net, and have stayed out from the web world for almost a month, things have been going down regarding this site. I had proposed myself to get this site back to a decent state during the Christmas holiday, but I received my guitar -Billie Joe- and it took over all my holiday time. When school started, I’ve been extremely busy making narrative essays and working for the English Olympiad for the whole first week. I may post some of the essays I made here, of course, if I don’t forget 8-| Anyway, I got 90/100 points at the Olympiad, which is pretty rewarding for me. For me, the best reward is that I’ve improved my English a lot, and after all that’s all that matter, not the number written on that ordinary sheet of paper called a Diploma ^^

Oh damn! :nerd: I can’t believe it :| I’ve just broken my guitar’s B string! Poor Billie Joe, he must’ve felt such an overwhelming pain! -but thank’s God he’s just a guitar, and plain wood can’t feel pain ^.^ – Well, this means another point added on tomorrow’s to-do list: buying new guitar strings, beside going to dance training, buying some new clothes and going to Silviu’s surprise birthday party. Silviu is my classmate, for who we have bought a present and booked a part from a pub for throwing a surprise party for him there :) I reckon is gonna be interesting, as he’s not suspecting anything b-) When he noticed that Ana, his deskmate, was collecting money from the other classmates, Ana asked him for money too, saying it’s for poor children :)) That’s a smart thing, eh?

Although today was expected to be a tough day, it ended up quite okay :) Well, except for Billie’s broken string, but that represents the unpredicted-’It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right..’ Oh, no no, Billie Joe (the real one! ) This wasn’t right  Okay, let’s get over this :D So, what was I actually expecting to be tough? The Logic and Music classes, but eventually it turned out to be easier than I would’ve ever expected :D

Uhmm…I gotta go. It’s getting late, and I have a lot to do tomorrow 0.o I think I’m going to bed, but first I guess I’ll start reading ‘Atonement’ by Ian McEwan :) I’ve already read other 2 books of his, ‘Saturday’ and ‘Amsterdam’ and I really enjoyed them. I highly recommend them for those who are sick of vampires, wizards, other creepy creatures or impossible love stories 0.o That being said, I’m off! See you again as soon as possible ^^

How’s been Christmas?

Is it a bit late for this question? Well…it might well be, but since Christmas’s Eve I’ve been busy with my Christmas present- Billie Joe! Oh, no no :D Not Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day! OMG! Imagine what a present would that have been :| So as to clarify things, Billie Joe is my black acoustic guitar, the one I had been desiring for for quite a long time :) It is made in Romania, by a producer called Hora, and it seems to be pretty good quality. So far it’s been going…acceptable for a beginner :D I’ve already managed to switch chords while still keeping the rhythm, and I learned to play (although nothing sounds too great  ) the intro of ‘Wake me up when September ends’ (I think that’s my best performance), ‘Good Riddance’, the verse of ‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’, and ‘Brain Stew’ -all by Green Day, the first part of the intro of ‘Californication’ by Red Hot Chili Peppers, and ‘Ode to Joy’ b-) In my opinion, this is okay for a 4 days guitar player :) Also, the skin on my fingertips has toughened enough so I don’t feel the strings slashing through my skin as much as I was feeling as the beginning. But it’s an awkward sensation when I finger other objects, as it feels like so: the toughened skin layer, then a layer of liquid and only when I press harder am I able to feel my actual finger, like I do with the other hand 0.o

I know I’ve done pretty much nothing for the site during this holiday, whose end is approaching with tremendous speed, and I’m obviously disappointed of myself :( Dunno… let’s just hope the new year will bring ‘Summerhugs’ prosperity and more allocated time ^^ Should I write about the resolutions for 2010 now? Uhmm..actually I don’t feel like :D I’d rather go and practice ‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’ with the pick a little :P Oh, does anyone have some tips on strumming the guitar? Cause I feel like I’m not doing it right, as it sounds a bit weird. With the pick it sounds too loud and like pressing against metal bars, and with the fingers it can barely be heard :| Well, I hope it will improve in time :)

Snow!

Yeah, you’re right! It’s snowing! Yaaay! It started last night, and it has continued for the entire day so far. Nevertheless, it started snowing even more heavily now. I just hope it won’t suddenly transform into a huge slough because of an unpredicted wave of warmer temperatures 8-| Another point of the good news’ list is that school is officially over now, and Christmas holiday officially on! b-) Although, I could’ve called it holiday since Friday, because we didn’t do too much at school on that day. Except for the always-on-duty Logic teacher, who even gave us a test on Friday. No, I’m not kidding or overstating things, she really is kind of a paranoid 0.o Overall, the first half of the freshman year has been actually better than I expected. Today I had a meeting with my ex-class and my ex-teacher, and most of them were saying that they had also taken some quite low marks, did not get on so well with their new classmates, and I realised that I’m lucky: I’ve taken only high marks so far, and I’m super getting along with my classmates. Every weekend we hang out in a pub or something, we’re celebrating the New Year’s Eve together at one’s restaurant, and so on.

Uh, I hope that now, that holiday has just started, I’ll have more time for the site. I hope, but I don’t promise though :P Today, mom brought me a Photoshop book I had been asking for a long from her school’s library. She said there was also another book, a more advanced one, but the librarian gave her this is for Photoshop 7 and it only contains some text effects, and basic instructions. Even though, I may post some of the tutorial on the site. I guess they may be interesting :)

Well, I guess that’s it. I don’t have too much left to say, and even so I know that not too many persons will read this blog, so it’s fairly enough :D I’ve got a serious job of leaving comments to do in the next day, as well as retouching some sections of the site and lots of others, so yeah, blogging isn’t the main objective these days :P
