Is it a bit late for this question? Well…it might well be, but since Christmas’s Eve I’ve been busy with my Christmas present- Billie Joe! Oh, no no Not Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day! OMG! Imagine what a present would that have been So as to clarify things, Billie Joe is my black acoustic guitar, the one I had been desiring for for quite a long time It is made in Romania, by a producer called Hora, and it seems to be pretty good quality. So far it’s been going…acceptable for a beginner I’ve already managed to switch chords while still keeping the rhythm, and I learned to play (although nothing sounds too great ) the intro of ‘Wake me up when September ends’ (I think that’s my best performance), ‘Good Riddance’, the verse of ‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’, and ‘Brain Stew’ -all by Green Day, the first part of the intro of ‘Californication’ by Red Hot Chili Peppers, and ‘Ode to Joy’ In my opinion, this is okay for a 4 days guitar player Also, the skin on my fingertips has toughened enough so I don’t feel the strings slashing through my skin as much as I was feeling as the beginning. But it’s an awkward sensation when I finger other objects, as it feels like so: the toughened skin layer, then a layer of liquid and only when I press harder am I able to feel my actual finger, like I do with the other hand 0.o

I know I’ve done pretty much nothing for the site during this holiday, whose end is approaching with tremendous speed, and I’m obviously disappointed of myself Dunno… let’s just hope the new year will bring ‘Summerhugs’ prosperity and more allocated time ^^ Should I write about the resolutions for 2010 now? Uhmm..actually I don’t feel like I’d rather go and practice ‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’ with the pick a little Oh, does anyone have some tips on strumming the guitar? Cause I feel like I’m not doing it right, as it sounds a bit weird. With the pick it sounds too loud and like pressing against metal bars, and with the fingers it can barely be heard Well, I hope it will improve in time

Yeah, you’re right! It’s snowing! Yaaay! It started last night, and it has continued for the entire day so far. Nevertheless, it started snowing even more heavily now. I just hope it won’t suddenly transform into a huge slough because of an unpredicted wave of warmer temperatures Another point of the good news’ list is that school is officially over now, and Christmas holiday officially on! Although, I could’ve called it holiday since Friday, because we didn’t do too much at school on that day. Except for the always-on-duty Logic teacher, who even gave us a test on Friday. No, I’m not kidding or overstating things, she really is kind of a paranoid 0.o Overall, the first half of the freshman year has been actually better than I expected. Today I had a meeting with my ex-class and my ex-teacher, and most of them were saying that they had also taken some quite low marks, did not get on so well with their new classmates, and I realised that I’m lucky: I’ve taken only high marks so far, and I’m super getting along with my classmates. Every weekend we hang out in a pub or something, we’re celebrating the New Year’s Eve together at one’s restaurant, and so on.

Uh, I hope that now, that holiday has just started, I’ll have more time for the site. I hope, but I don’t promise though Today, mom brought me a Photoshop book I had been asking for a long from her school’s library. She said there was also another book, a more advanced one, but the librarian gave her this is for Photoshop 7 and it only contains some text effects, and basic instructions. Even though, I may post some of the tutorial on the site. I guess they may be interesting

Well, I guess that’s it. I don’t have too much left to say, and even so I know that not too many persons will read this blog, so it’s fairly enough I’ve got a serious job of leaving comments to do in the next day, as well as retouching some sections of the site and lots of others, so yeah, blogging isn’t the main objective these days

Here I am back after over a month! (OMG, how much it seems to be ) But I must admit that for me is hasn’t seemed such a long while as I’ve been busy with school…sorry..HIGH school ever since…uhm well…ever since it started actually So far, so good I may say. I’ve only taken high marks, a lot better than I had expected ^^ I’ll make a review of everything that has happened in high school during the last month, as there are a lot of interesting things to tell you about: the prom, the Halloween party, the trip, etc. Tomorrow I’m having the first half’s English exam, so this blog entry is kinda meant to be a verification of my use of tenses, so as to prepare for the exam I can’t say I’m frightened by the idea of having a test, cause English has always been the subject I went to exams completely relaxed, but I know the teacher has high expectations, and I’m aware of the fact that only a bit of inattention may easily ruin my mark 0.o But let’s be optimistic, shall we?

I’d rather tell you about the site related events that have happened for first than about the high school related events, as I may write a separate blog about this, perhaps during the weekend. So, let’s start with the beginning. You know I won my summerhugs.com domain in a contest a year ago, and that it was due to expire on 20th October. I decided to re-buy it, and as I didn’t have a credit card a friend had offered to pay it from her card. Everything was okay, but then, even after the expiration they had passed, it continued to appear unavailable. After I had done a research, I found out that every single domain had a 45 days grace period while it can still be renewed by its owner, so there was no way I could buy the domain. So, I decided to buy summerhugs.net. Oh, I forgot to tell you that meanwhile I had found a great host, Lissie. But, guess what! When I was to buy the .net domain, a problem occured with the friend’s credit card, so another week of delay was added. Summing everything up, there’s almost a month delay. Not very fond of it, but let’s see the full half: at least I got my site back in the end . I have to shuffle through the content and make some retouches were needed, so I can’t call my site ready for use yet. Neither the theme is completely finished, so yeah…there’s still a lot to do.

Well well, I reckon this was all I had to say. I should be back on weekend, with a blog entry regarding the review of all the events that have happened in high school during the last month. That blog should also contain photos, cause there are lots I have to share with you

Today I came across a review for a certain site (I won’t give any names or site links in order to avoid any potential offences and hate comments) were the reviewer was criticizing the owner for the enormous amount of resources that were poor quality. I felt so right about all that was written in that review, mostly due to the fact that I knew that site and person before and I had put myself the same question about the content of that site for a couple of times before. It went to my heart and I started thinking really deeply about this question:“Quality or quantity?” I definitely vote for QUALITY! Why to have tones of content that no one could use because its poor quality, when you can have just a few resources of high quality that may the very useful for your visitor? And I may say that this question is the same damn right in the real life too, in whatever situation you choose As a remark, sites with a lot of poor quality content remember me of those old times on piczo, when owners were making tenths of ‘blends’ a day and showed all those hundreds of same-looking blends on their ‘cool’ pages. Were all those graphics even good-looking? I doubt that… Well, all this words are not for anyone’s offence, are for those who should, can and want to change and become better day by day. I admit with no shame that I was, and maybe I still am a more quantity less quality follower, but I definitely want to change if I’m still so.

Ahh…let’s get over that melodramatic and ‘existential problem’ speech . So, in order to follow the “Quality or quantity” slogan, I’m going to re-vamp my resources and tutorials. I want to get rid of all that old content that I’ve lately started to hate and be ashamed of. The re-vamp mainly endorses the Resources section (Downloads, Graphics and Photography). Also, I want to review all the tutorials and make changes where needed. Now I think I gotta go cause my sight is kinda blurring when I look at the computer’s screen I want to say once more that I haven’t written this blog to harm anyone, so don’t leave me hate comments because I was generally speaking, not about a certain person only I’m looking forward to see your opinions about this^^
