I was listening to Pink Floyd’s ‘Wish you were here’, and as I didn’t have any better idea of a title for this post, I chose these lyrics
So as to make a brief list of the events that have happened lately, or are actually due to happen, I’m starting with Rebecca’s sixteen birthday, which was on Friday. She invited us to a pub somewhere near our high school, and it was literally what’s called a Girls’ Night Out. We just stayed at our table, ate pizza, ordered drinks (future alcoholics
), and gossiped
It made me easily realize that you don’t need to be like ‘OMG! I can’t handle so much fun!’ to feel purely good
You only have to be surrounded by people you can’t fail having a good time with. Am I right?
Moving further on the list of news, the French students I told you about in the last blog are coming on 24th February, which is only one and a half week away. We had to fill in some forms during the weekend, regarding our basic information, what we like, our personality, etc. We bring the forms back to our teacher tomorrow, and we’ll also choose our ‘correspondant français’. Haha, it sounds like we’d pick a product from the shelf at the supermarket
I don’t mean to be…mean ^^ but this is everybody’s attitude. Some friends have even come up with elaborate plans on how to terrorize the poor French students, wake them up at 6 o’clock in the morning with a horn, or settle them in dog’s cage. But they were just kidding, don’t worry for the French fellows, they’ll be okay
I’m sure we’ll have a great time together, both here and in Cholet
I’m really looking forward to their arrival ^^
Well, that’s it! I’m going back to practice guitar ^^
Oh, I was about to forgot: Happy Valentine’s Day to those who…well…celebrate it
I’m ashamed of my self, really! This site is going down the drain
Well, maybe I’m saying it a bit metaphorically, but since I had to switch from summerhugs.com to summerhugs.net, and have stayed out from the web world for almost a month, things have been going down regarding this site. I had proposed myself to get this site back to a decent state during the Christmas holiday, but I received my guitar -Billie Joe- and it took over all my holiday time. When school started, I’ve been extremely busy making narrative essays and working for the English Olympiad for the whole first week. I may post some of the essays I made here, of course, if I don’t forget
Anyway, I got 90/100 points at the Olympiad, which is pretty rewarding for me. For me, the best reward is that I’ve improved my English a lot, and after all that’s all that matter, not the number written on that ordinary sheet of paper called a Diploma ^^
Oh damn!
I can’t believe it
I’ve just broken my guitar’s B string! Poor Billie Joe, he must’ve felt such an overwhelming pain! -but thank’s God he’s just a guitar, and plain wood can’t feel pain ^.^ – Well, this means another point added on tomorrow’s to-do list: buying new guitar strings, beside going to dance training, buying some new clothes and going to Silviu’s surprise birthday party. Silviu is my classmate, for who we have bought a present and booked a part from a pub for throwing a surprise party for him there
I reckon is gonna be interesting, as he’s not suspecting anything
When he noticed that Ana, his deskmate, was collecting money from the other classmates, Ana asked him for money too, saying it’s for poor children
That’s a smart thing, eh?
Although today was expected to be a tough day, it ended up quite okay
Well, except for Billie’s broken string, but that represents the unpredicted-’It’s something unpredictable, but in the end it’s right..’ Oh, no no, Billie Joe (the real one!
) This wasn’t right
Okay, let’s get over this
So, what was I actually expecting to be tough? The Logic and Music classes, but eventually it turned out to be easier than I would’ve ever expected
Uhmm…I gotta go. It’s getting late, and I have a lot to do tomorrow 0.o I think I’m going to bed, but first I guess I’ll start reading ‘Atonement’ by Ian McEwan
I’ve already read other 2 books of his, ‘Saturday’ and ‘Amsterdam’ and I really enjoyed them. I highly recommend them for those who are sick of vampires, wizards, other creepy creatures or impossible love stories 0.o That being said, I’m off! See you again as soon as possible ^^
